Fire Doors

Supply, installation, inspection and remedial works to certified fire doorsets that protect escape routes.

A fire door is one of the most important safety features in any building. When it is correctly specified, fitted and maintained, it holds back fire and smoke for a set period, protecting escape routes and giving people time to get out safely.

Complete doorsets, not just doors

A fire door only performs as tested when every part of the assembly works together: the leaf, frame, intumescent and smoke seals, glazing, ironmongery and the fixing into the surrounding wall. We make sure each doorset is compatible, correctly rated (for example FD30 or FD60) and suitable for its location.

Our fire door services

  • Supply and installation of certified fire doorsets for new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Fire door surveys and inspections, with photographic reports for each door.
  • Remedial works: adjusting gaps, replacing seals, closers, hinges and damaged components.
  • Upgrading or replacing doors that can no longer be brought up to standard.
  • Correct signage and documentation to support your ongoing compliance.

Installation quality matters

Even the best product can fail if it is fitted badly. Our installers pay close attention to clearances, fixings and the seal between frame and wall, so that the fire and smoke resistance of the whole wall is maintained.

Inspection and maintenance

Fire doors take a lot of wear. Regular checks pick up problems such as damaged leaves, missing seals, failed self-closers or unauthorised alterations before they become a risk. We can carry out periodic inspections and put things right, keeping your records up to date for duty holders and inspectors.
